PE3_iMovie

It is time for the last installment of my Lynda.com posts. In these last few chapters there were many things that I was already doing. The biggest thing that stood out to me was the white point color adjustment. It does help bring out the whites in your picture without distorting the overall look of the clip. The section on applying adjustments to multiple clips added to the enhancement of both videos and photographs taken under the same conditions by saving time and bringing continuity to each of the clips.

The advanced tools were a mystery to me until a couple of months ago, by that I mean I did not know they existed. Since discovering them I have attempted several of them, including green screen. The green screen was actually easier to use then I anticipated. I say that, but I sort of had an inside track seeing as my school has a video production room equipped with a blue  and green screen as well as back lighting. This combination made things much easier when attempting to use the green screen.
I found that using the marker tools would be a great benefit when it came to longer projects. It allows you to create named markers and chapter breaks which make it easier when exporting to iDVD.

The last section on exporting was a small review for me. I have used all of the export settings except the Final Cut. I have been amazed at the quality that is built into the iMovie program and the ease of implementing each part into the videos and photographs that you have taken. It is a great program. I hope you have enjoyed my journey through this training and know I hope you enjoy one of my finished products.
